We believe that an Extra Curricular Programme is an excellent stimulus to the natural enthusiasm of all children. It is a time after school (3.30/3.45pm – 4.30/4.45/5.45pm) when all our children can in a relaxed atmosphere, pursue an interest they may or may not have encountered before. It may well turn out to be the one activity they remember in later years.

Extracurricular Clubs provide a wide range of exciting opportunities for pupils to extend their education further. They are organised and run by the staff of the school normally, but on occasions by parents or friends of the school who have expertise and/or ability in a particular area. A small charge is made to recover some or all of the costs of these activities.

With the exception of Horse-riding, Tennis and Bowling, Extracurricular Clubs are charged at £4.00 per session, payable termly in advance.

Children who attend an Extra Curricular Club which returns later than usual (eg. Horse Riding) are given a fruit snack by the school before they leave and a biscuit when they return. Parents may supplement this, but with fruit/water only please.

Easter and Summer and Autumn holiday clubs are organised by staff from Pointer’s School, they are exciting and well managed and organised programmes for school holidays.
