French and German

All children possess a natural language facility that seems to diminish progressively. We therefore begin French in the Nursery, using a basic conversational approach and taught by a French national who has had great success in gaining her pupil’s confidence, thereby enhancing their ability to communicate effectively. German is now also taught as an option from Year 3 onwards, and all children take advantage of this at present.

The Pointer School is also fortunate in being able to offer Spanish Dancing to those children in Nursery, Reception and Year 1. This very popular activity is taught entirely in (simple) Spanish.
